Definition:
Soft skill are personal attributes that enchance individual interaction,job performance and careers prospect that unlike hard skill.which are about a persons skill set and ability to perform certain type off task or activity, soft skill are interpersonal and broadly applicable.


Soft skill are often describe by different term that associated personality traits like:
-optimism          -sense of humor    -integrity
-responsibility    -common sense


And abilities that can be practised (require individual genuinely like other people):
-empathy       -communications    -sociability
-teamwork     -good manners        -ability to teach
-leadership    -negotiation


A person’s soft skill EQ is an important part of their individual contribution to the success of an organization. Particularly those organizations whose dealing with customers face-to-face are generally more successful, if they train their staff to use and applicate these skills.For example screening or training for personal habits or traits such as dependability and conscientiousness can yield significant return on investment for an organization. For this reason, soft skills are increasingly sought out by employers in addition to standard qualifications and have something big in return.

So called “soft skill” such as people management and interpersonal communication used to get short shrift in IT world.Interviewers rarely sought out non-technical as it is hard to link them clearly to any measurable bisiness benefit.but now,this is changing.

According to a survey carried out by IT recruitment specialist Hays IT , candidates for jobs in both public and private sector organisations are being told in order to improve soft skill such as team working and presentation to secure better jobs.

In fast moving it world ,most IT Professionals recognize the importance of keeping technical skills up to date.If you don’t abreast of latest development you probably won’t succed in IT.Companies obviously don’t want to hire workers with outdated skills ,so IT pros put a lot of time and effort into keeping their programming and other relevant skills current.

However ,if you want to risein the ranus,you have to do more than just know how to write a mean c++ program or configure a spiffy network.You also have to be able to work well with people and know how to lead team.these so called “soft skill” are just important as factual knowledge you’ve ben studying in all those certification programme.

  1. Informative and descriptive blog. You have mentioned the significance of soft skill in very crisp manner. Of course everyone one thinks that professional skills are more important than “EQ”. But according to me both the skills makes an individual perfect professional.
